Each of the four largest lakes in Leelanau County is represented by a "lake association". The typical lake association is a non-profit organization formed by owners of property riparian to the lake of interest. While each lake association has its own unique approach, all have a goal of protecting their lake in the best interest of riparian owners and and of the general public. In pursuing that goal, lake associations become a valuable resource for those who desire information about a lake of interest. Following below is information on how to contact each lake association.
