In recent years, the primary source of road commission revenues, the Michigan Transportation Fund (gasoline and diesel tax revenue) has been shrinking.  This has had a detremental impact on Michigan's road systems, and as operating costs continue to climb, state and county road agencies struggling to find funds needed to repair deteroirating roads.

The Leelanau County Road Commissioner Board is grateful to the citizens of Leelanau County for their continual support in renewing our two-year 1/2 mill road levy.  This extra revenue is necessary so that we can continue to provide weekend and night-time snowplowing county residents and the motoring public expects.
