Seasonal Roads
Seasonal Roads as of October 3, 2006

As described in MCL247.655a, "The board of county road commissioners of each county may establish a system of seasonal county roads, which may be part of either the county primary road system, the county local road system, or both.  A board of county road commissioners in establlishing a system of seasonal roads, may declare a road under the jurisdiction of the board to not be open to public travel during the months of November through April, which road shall then not be open to public travel."

On December 6, 1990, the Leelanau County Road Commission established a seasonal county road sytem, which has been subsequently amended on January 16, 2001 and again on October 3, 2006.
