Road Construction Ahead

Road Construction!

Road upgrades are being made on Plowman Road, between McFarlane Rd and M-72.  Traffic delays are possible in this area. 

 

 

The Road Commission will be doing cold milling, surfacing, street scape and drainage work on M-22 in Empire, from Michigan St. to Ottawa St.  The scheduled completion date is October 9th. 

 

 

 

 

 

Grand Traverse Band 2% Allocation Award to Leelanau County 

Leelanau County was awarded $50.000.00 from the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians 2% allocation to be used for radios for school buses, communication equipment for schools, etc. Radios are being distributed to the schools, starting with Pathfinders and Leelanau Schools as they will be holding Summer sessions.
