Death records have been filed with this office since 1867, and are available to the public.
The minimum fee for a certified copy of a death record is $5.00 for the first copy and $2.00 for each additional copy of the same record at time of purchase.
Please list the full name and approximate date of death of the individual(s) you would like death certificates for, along with the appropriate check or money order, made out to Leelanau County Clerk, and mail to P.O. Box 467, Leland, MI 49654.
