The left column menu (blue menu) is the main menu for each individual site. In respect to township and village websites, we try to keep them consistent, in order to make it easier on users who look at more than one township website. In any case, we try to keep the list of options fairly short - as it's often difficult to find what you're looking for when there's a big long list of options.

The left menu is basically just a column of links groups. The links groups can be hidden to the general public; or they can be accessible to everyone. Often, the main menu choices, which are visible to everyone, are simply pages with links to other pages that are "hidden" - i.e., "Ordinances and Plans" on the main menu will take you to a page with links to the township zoning ordinance, rec plan, and master plan.
