Employment:
The Leelanau County Sheriff's Office is now located at 8525 E. Government Center Drive, Suttons Bay, MI  49682. 

We currently have one Deputy Sheriff Law Enforcement position to fill in the near future.  If interested, complete and submit an application (below).  This position will be filled by January 21, 2010.  

Minimum Requirements for Law Enforcement Deputies:

U.S. citizen; 21 years old; Associate's Degree or four years of fulltime military service; MCOLES certifible upon appointment; pass written test, oral (Board) interview, physical fitness test, background investigation, drug screening, medical and psychological evaluations. Selections will be made in early May.

Minimum Requirements for a Jail Corrections Deputy:

U.S. citizen; 21 years old; Graduation from an accredited high school -Associates Degree preferred, Computer experience helpful; Veterans are encouraged.  pass written test, oral (Board) interview, physical fitness test, background investigation, drug screening,  medical and psychological evaluations.  Firearms experience helpful as qualification is required within the first year.
