Bingham is a zoned township with the first zoning ordinance placed in effect on February 8, 1978. As such, each parcel of land resides within a specific land use district; Agricultural, Residential, Commercial and/or Industrial. The Bingham Township Zoning Ordinance serves as a guide for changes to existing entities (i.e., current land uses and structures), as well as future growth. The ordinance is derived from the Comprehensive Plan. Updated hard copies of the Zoning Ordinance are available at the township office.
