Health and Medical Needs

The COA offers the following programs to assist senior citizens with independent living needs:
  • Homemaker Program
  • Outdoor Chore Program
  • Senior Companion Program
  • Personal Care

Financial Assistance
The Commission on Aging offers an "Unmet Needs" emergency financial assistance program. To participate in this program, an individual's income must be at 100% of the poverty level or lower. Requests are honored for emergency situations and only after all possibilities for assistance have been exhausted. Requests are honored one time only per year per client for $300 or less. Any amount over $300 is the responsibility of the client.
